Hautnah (skin nearness) During the Cycle Tangencies Karina Wellmer-Schnell already looked for the feasibility, to increase the skin nearness of leather des Leders and the sensitivity and warmth of paper. After experiments with several tranparent materials and leather types she founds a laboratory, with produces raw leather with the necessary characteristics. »»» Art exhibition cycle 'Hautnah' (1997-98). The material raw leather (parchement) is - besid the shaping - an additional instrument which enhances of the artistic expression for tangencies, spirits, interactions and reflections. The transparency of this materials let sink the objects alive, a play with light and shadow, calmnes and motion. The evocative effect of the art objects makes the realness, the original inside of them tactile, visual and haptical. |
